I have been the librarian at Adams since its opening year in 2009. Prior to Adams, I worked in the Roosevelt Elementary library for 8 years. I am originally from Maryville, Tennessee, but Johnson City has been my home since 1995.
The library program has evolved over the years. Students now have access to electronic books and computer coding is part of the library curriculum.
My goal is for all students to be independent users of any library; to understand how libraries may be organized; to be safe online; to discern factual from fictional information.
