Your child may have come home and excitedly proclaimed that he/she earned a ticket at school. And you may have wondered, “What’s this all about?” 

 When students show any of the five P.R.I.D.E. traits (Personal Best, Respect, Integrity, Determination or Extraordinary), they can earn a ticket. This ticket is then redeemed in the office for a ping pong ball that matches the color of his/her Family. Students place their ball in a P.R.I.D.E. tube in our front lobby. Once a Family has filled their ping pong ball tube we chart the accomplishment. At pre selected dates we determine which Family has filled their tube the most and we celebrate by having a color-day where we ask all students to wear the color of the winning Family.

The students have been very excited about earning tickets and we hope that you will also support this by being excited when they tell you about their efforts! It’s a fun way to support the good things we see happening every day at John Adams!
